| Lighting for
Unexpected, Low-Light Places |
The Everest Mini makes travel easy, whether by train,
plane or automobile, not to mention those unexpected places.
The ultra-thin, compact design of the Everest Mini allow
it to be carried almost anywhere. Weighing less than two
ounces and measuring four inches long, it can easily fit
in a briefcase, purse, or backpack. This small, compact
light opens for use as a table lamp and clips to a book
for an easy reading solution. “Reading
lights in the past have been very cumbersome. This light
weighs only a few ounces and is great in low-light situations,
like in restaurants,” said Peter Altman, founder
and chief executive officer of Lumatec
With LED technology, this light is soft on the eyes and
is more energy efficient than a standard krypton bulb.
It does not use heat to emit light, so the bulbs will
last a lifetime. The Everest Mini runs continually on
two lithium batteries for up to 70-plus hours.
“Everest Mini is a great little light. It’s
so portable, practical and great for travel; it fits in
the palm of your hand,” said Altman. “The
feed back has been that the light puts off brilliant light,
yet it doesn’t disturb those around you.”
Everest Mini Light is available fall of 2005 at retailers
nationwide and at www.lumatec.com.
The suggested retail price for the Mini is only $14.95.
